Mr. Marking is a shareholder and the managing partner of the Southern California office of the Firm. He is admitted to the California Bar, as well as all U.S. District Courts in California. He is also a member in good standing of the San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles Bar Associations. Mr. Marking received his B.A. from the University of California at San Diego in 1989, and received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University in 1994. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Marking spent 10 years with the largest, national construction firm in the country.
Mr. Marking's practice is primarily focused on meeting the complete legal needs of developers, builders, general contractors in all aspects of their business transactions "from the ground up", including negotiating contracts, project management and close out of troubled projects. Mr. Marking also has over 20 years of experience litigating construction claims, including commercial torts, contract claims, delay/scheduling disputes and construction defect actions in residential, commercial and industrial disputes. Mr. Marking joined the Firm in 2012.
