Laurelly Dale

Laurelly is a trial attorney with over 15 years’ experience, admitted to practice in California, Ontario & BC (Canada).  Acting on behalf of numerous companies, she has assisted with corporate liability mitigation.  As corporate counsel, she has worked for medium legal technology companies (Dye & Durham), large crown corporations (over 5000 employees at ICBC), and a global legal publication company (LexisNexis- parent is RELX) in Canada.

As a criminal attorney, she has handled over 2000 cases, conducted dozens of bench trials including a recent first degree murder trial in August 2021; an acquittal for a refuse breathalyzer charge (Nov 2021).  Laurelly is at home in a court room, conducting motions, depositions, examinations (of both civilians and experts), and making submissions.

Additional notable accomplishments include:  testifying twice as an expert in Parliament regarding criminal justice reform; columnist for national legal publication The Lawyer’s Daily, profiled in national publication Globe and Mail, and mentor for the Ryerson Law Practice Program.  Lastly, Laurelly is fluent in French, and has completed 4 /6 world major marathons.
