Eric W. Vandermey
I earned my Bachelors of Science in Business with a concentration in Real Estate & Land Use Planning and Finance from California State University, Sacramento in 1998. I then earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Willamette University, College of Law in 2001.
In response to the tragic events of September 11, 2001, I was deployed for over two years as a Military Police with the California Army National Guard, to fight in the war on terrorism in Iraq. Upon returning from Operation Desert Storm, I received my commission in the military and became a Judge Advocate for the California Army National Guard, where he became the Command Judge Advocate for the Counter Drug Task Force for the California Army National Guard. As a JAG, I successfully litigated over 30 trials and hearings. I was the attorney for the military in a joint law enforcement operation for one of the largest marijuana busts in Northern California, which resulted in the confiscation of over $1.8 billion in illegal marijuana.
I retired from my 22 year military career in 2008, and opened my own bankruptcy and civil litigation firm, where I practiced as a sole proprietor in the fields of consumer bankruptcy law, real estate law, landlord/tenant law and civil litigation, where I have helped hundreds of people resolve their debt issues. I bring my expertise to this firm, where I can expand his services to a wider client base.
I am admitted to practice in the state of California, including admission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of California, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals..
